I am trash nice to meet you!!!
I do shit posts and mostly reblog shit i think is cool enjoy your stay he/her? jacksepticeye markiplier crank gameplay pewdiepie SU gravity falls
For the people picking Darkiplier as their favorite character of mine… I don’t know who Darkiplier is. He is not a “character” I play. I don’t even know when you all started calling him by that name.
A person on G+ (because where else would they be) called Why™ is taking and reposting people’s (like @marielgum, @lum1natrix, @markired, @dork-iplier, @floatingmegane-san etc. There’s too many to list, honestly) gifs and art without permission and thinks that simply linking to SOME of the accounts is enough. (ps. its not lol)
In fact, they put the credit in a place where barely any people look. (It’s like the YouTube description. A small percentage of people go there.)
Then they claim that I need to look for it. (ps i dont ha should be visible)
And even then, they never got permission in the first place.
Go report them please. Reblogs are very much appreciated.
The problem is: G+ doesn’t make it easy to report. When trying to report stuff this is what you get:
In accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), we only accept copyright complaints from content owners or someone officially authorized to act on their behalf.
Yeah. But people can still report them for other things like spam and selling stuff. And even though it may not be what they’re actually doing it’s better than having some person stealing content.
@gridhorizon the problem with that is that G+ won’t do anything about the stolen artwork/gifs because that’s not what’s being reported. The assumption is that if “they” (who/however google deals with this type of stuff) come for spam/selling stuff they’ll take it all down. If the account isn’t actually doing those things no action will be taken against them. There’s no way for google to know that said user is violating copyrights so there will be no transition of “they got reported for spam. Hold on, isn’t that stuff copyrighted?”
Now I’m not saying don’t go report them because this person/the mods are literally stealing and not crediting/getting permission for other people’s art… It’s detestable. I just think a better way to take action is to tell the artists so they can take immediate, palpable action.
